He Still Does

Well - As of February 20, 2006 I have been married longer than I have been single. Yes, you can do the math and realize I am now "middle aged" I think. I got married at 23 and we just celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary! WOO HOO! Although I have not, yet, turned 47 - it is coming in the Fall. It sounds so close to 50 - maybe because IT IS! whatever -

May I take a moment here, in this public forum, to say that I am a recipient of a great husbands grace. After adding many years and pounds to my life - my husband STILL:

1. thinks I'm pretty
2. loves peace more than winning
3. rubs my feet
4. calls me everyday just to talk
5. wants to hear what I think
6. chooses his family over any other thing
7. kisses me bye before he leaves and when he gets home
8. wants to serve the Lord
9. laughs when I'm trying to be funny
10. wants to stay with me!

Girls - I pray you will have, or DO have, someone as kind and gentle as my husband in your life for as long as you live.
Guys - I pray that you will love and cherish the heart and soul of someone, and let her know it, for the rest of your life.

Here's to 24 years of a great adventure!

That's so awesome! Congratulations, Mrs. Kathy! I know now more than ever, I want to be just like you when I grow up! I got engaged a couple of weeks ago and hope that after 24 years of marriage, I'll be able to look back and say the same things about my husband.

rickey nelson has always been on my top ten list of "men who have qualities that i want in a husband." and, no, i'm not saying i want mr. rickey!!! however, i have always thought that he has the most precious, gracious spirit about him. i'm glad you used this venue to sing his praises!

Thanks for the affirmative "shout out" to Ricky - I let him read ya'lls comments. He gave a little chuckle and said "So, do all of these 'blod'? lol
I said it's "BLOG" dear! Maybe I can get him to make cameo appearances every now and then. Love ya'll!

Congratulations Mrs. Kathy!! I am glad, also, that I found a husband who I know will love me no matter what! I had to wait a while for him, but it was worth it! I know that you and Mr. Rickey will enjoy many more happy years together! I also love the cooking picture - that is too cute!

Wow, I can't wait for that moment. I've only been married 7 years, but I already know that it gets better as the years go by, so you guys must be the BEST. And I can't get over how much you look like your daughters in these pictures! What a beautiful family in every way.

Mrs. Kathy, congratulations on being married for 24 years! I've always loved and looked up to you and Mr. Ricky. I love how you compliment each other in so many ways. I can just picture him laughing at your jokes. :) Love y'all!
