GREAT Things This Week

1. I had the most pleasurable flights ever. No sickness!
2. Lunch with BARBARA NOLES TIMMS - she is as beautiful as ever. I am so glad she is living in Ruston now!
3. Hearing Lisa Ellon say her first days of her Senior year were wonderful
4. Having Katie in the college dept. with me
5. Reading blogs of people I love and miss.
6. Watching little children play in our pool and remembering the days when my girls looked just like them.
7. Ricky, the girls and I, piled up on the couch watching old "Miss Marple Mysteries" together.
8. Getting ready for the students to all get back to Ruston and Calvary.

So... Lisa is a SENIOR this year? Are you serious? I remember her being in the pre-teen group when I was an intern. That seems so long ago... but I MISS those care-free days!

Hi Mrs Kathy,

I just wanted to say thanks for pouring into the freshman class of 1994. It frightens me to think what my college years would have been like if I had graduated in like 92 or something, and had not been welcomed by THE Kathy Nelson and her enthusiastic, encouraging spirit. It's been 12 years since then, but I am still grateful! Have a great day.

KIMMY! I promise you - the feeling is very mutual. I cannot believe it has been 12 years...until I look in the mirror of course. :( Do you ever come to Ruston? I sure would love to see you. Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. Believe it or not, I am still working with college students and still LOVE IT!

I want to echo Kim's words... you are awesome, Mrs Kathy.

And seeing Barbara Noles Timms's name just brought a smile to my face. Tell her hi for me the next time you see her (if you think about it).
